Acam portfolio question

mr-badluck:

Um Shelly…On the cover letter what does it mean by section number?

You should email her.

reggie3:

I feel more confident now that I took the 2nd mock final. I cant wait for Emily to post the answer key so I could check my work.

It is now on WebCT

math class

aikman:

Today I worked on word problems on the disk, I also got certified on algebra I skills, I also went over both my mock finals. On wed. i did some fractions /. And on monday I did the mock final i had(I was out of town).I wasn’t able to blog on those days so thats why i’m doing it now. Every thing is coming together so I feel I’ll do fine on the final.

It is super exciting to watch the brains clicking around the classroom and to see it all coming together for most students just the way it is supposed to!

Yay Friday!

kromer01:

well I am sooooo freakin proud of myself since last mock final i went up 10 points on my grade which makes me so totally happy! I am learning….well re-learning this math stuff with sucess! who would have thunk!?! But anywho. It’s time to go home and take a nap so I can rest my brain! :0)

Kathleen <3

Yay!  Whoooo Hooooo!  Yippie!  I’m excited!

studying too hard?

mr-badluck:

I’ve been studying pretty hard lately. So much, that when I sleep I see numbers and when I day dream I see numbers. It’s creepy.

That is awesome!  The brain washing is complete!

moch final

ronblog:

ok today we have a moch final. im pretty sure that im gonna get at least a d but lets see

Wow!  That is negativity wrapped in self doubt packaged in a lack of confidence!  You should be telling yourself that you are awesome, and amazing, and you are going to kick tail.

Told I’m doin good, but can the “math-beast” be beat in just: less than 5 DAYS?!!!!!!!!!!

acertainendinga:

If you read the top post you’ll feel the same as I do that such a feat would be impossible, and it in a sense pretty much is, also if you are confused about the top lemme explain: you see my cousin whom lives in Reno that I only get to see about at the most 3 times a year is coming in less than 5 days for about a whole week in which I was EXTREMELY excited when I heard this when suddenly I remembered: OH SH*T I’VE GOT SCHOOL I’LL HAVE TO WORK ON! So I had to devise a plan to get my work doone before she would come thus the solution of: WORK MY @$$ OFF before she would come thus getting all the work out of the way and allowing me to spend more time. Hah! Easier said than done. I’ve been working harder than anything lately yet still taking brakes (to keep my sanity) and I still have work upon work apparently I need to buckle down to solve this problem or I’m gonna be in deep Sh*t.

You are doing fine!  Just keep chugging along and remember not to stress out.  You can do it.  You are almost there, just a hair further to go and you’ve got it.

funny

kromer01:

Why did the student eat his math exam?
…. (because the teacher said that it was “a piece of cake”)

Awesome!

reggie3:

I was reviewing for the final and I cannot believe all the stuff I forgot how to do. My anxiety level is high… I’m starting to freak-out.

You have over a week.  Calm down. ;-)  With a little practice and a lot of calmness and confidence, you will do fine.

Anxiety:  Just say “NO!”

just when you think you got this

ronblog:

just when you think you got this math will always put you in place. today we took a test today and i was confident well all of the sudden on the test there was tons of definitions and ya you guessed it i didnt study the definitions just the math problems. so like i said JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU GOT THIS MATH WILL ALWAYS PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE!

You are being so negative.  Think of it like this:  I study my definitions (which should be pretty easy, way easier than learning math) and I re-take the module and get an A.  Awesome!  I can so do that!

Module 11!

While taking the test i felt confident i was doing good except for the vocab. But I totally bombed oh well, i really careless now……. :/

(via jgomez91)

So you are in the same boat with Brad.  All you need to do is study the vocab for half an hour or so and re-take the test for 100%!!!  Yay!

acam

mr-badluck:

It’s nice that I got some review time with the past chapters cause of homework. You know if you push something new in, old stuff falls out.

You have ~ two weeks.  We’ll cram it all back in.

Cursed Definitions!

brad2bur:

8 out of the 9 problems I got wrong on the test were definitions.

Just my luck.

I study the concepts, the problems and the steps to complete them…

AND THE TEST IS HALF VOCABULARY. 53% and that was AFTER Emily was kind enough to forgive one of my answers.

Awesome. I like watching my grade die a slow agonizing death.

P.S. MML is one of the most unforgiving pieces of software ever created. Worse than Windows! haha.

So, what I am hearing is if you do 30 minutes of studying the vocab and retake the test you should get 100%.  That is some frickin’ bang for your study buck!  Awesome!

Module11 review

mr-badluck:

Holy crap!  I am on fire! I started out with c and d test scores and now I’m getting B’s .  Some of this math stuff is finally sticking to my brain.

So by the final it should be A’s.
